The Virgin Mary statue is 45 meters tall and is made of over 7,000 pieces of aluminum. The statue is located on a one-time pre-Columbian temple used by the indigenous people to worship the sun (which was eventually destroyed by the Spanish conquistadors).<br \/>\nAdmission: US$1 (to enter the grounds), US$2 (to enter the statue).
